Render Technologies AB (Org.nr 559362-0734), Rönnbärsvägen 17 D, 691 47 Karlskoga, Sverige, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
Framegain makes exactly one network call: when you activate a Pro key. There is no telemetry, no usage reporting and no background check. Every scan, fix and benchmark after activation runs fully offline.
At activation, the plugin sends your license key and a machine identity to framegain.dev. The server checks the key has a free seat, registers the machine, and returns a signed, machine-bound license stored locally on your disk. Deactivating calls the server once more, to free the seat for another machine. Nothing about your project — assets, code, scan results or reports — is ever sent anywhere.
Checkout and payment are handled entirely by Paddle.com, who act as the Merchant of Record for Pro purchases. Render Technologies AB does not receive or store your card details; Paddle processes them under its own privacy policy.
framegain.dev does not run analytics or tracking scripts. We keep one aggregate count for each release file when its download link is clicked on this website; that count contains no IP address, user agent, email address or other visitor data. The file itself is served by GitHub Releases, whose own privacy terms apply. Paddle’s checkout widget is loaded only when Pro sales are open and you choose to buy.
If you join the Pro launch waitlist, we store the email address you submit only so we can tell you when Pro opens. We do not use the waitlist for a newsletter or behavioural advertising. If you buy a Pro key, we send your license key to the email address you provide at checkout, and use it for purchase-related support if you contact us.
We process the license key, purchase details and machine identity needed to issue, activate, administer and, where necessary, deactivate your license because this is necessary to perform the contract with you. We process a waitlist address because you ask us to notify you when Pro opens; you can withdraw that request at any time by emailing us. We process support messages and the contact details needed to answer them on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing customer support, maintaining service quality and keeping a record of the conversation. We do not use this data for behavioural advertising or telemetry.
License keys and machine identities are kept for as long as needed to provide and administer the licence, and normally for up to twelve months after the licence expires or the last related activation, deactivation or support event. Waitlist email addresses are kept until Pro opens and the launch notice has been sent, or until you ask us to remove yours. Purchase and support email addresses are kept for as long as needed to deliver and support the licence, and normally for up to twelve months after the last related interaction. We may retain limited transaction or correspondence records for longer where required by law or needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We use Paddle and Resend to process personal data for relevant payment, fulfilment and email-delivery services. They process data on our behalf for those services and have their own privacy information. Paddle may also process payment and transaction data as an independent controller for its own Merchant of Record, legal and compliance responsibilities.
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in the GDPR, you may ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, ask us to erase data, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also have rights to restrict processing and to data portability. To exercise a right, email hello@framegain.dev; we may need to verify your identity before responding.
You have the right to complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), if you believe your personal data is being processed unlawfully. See imy.se for contact details.
